S ialia Yachts is nearing the completion of the groundbreaking Sialia 45, a full-electric yacht built in Poland. Scheduled for launch this autumn, it represents one of the most ambitious and innovative projects in modern yacht engineering.

Every system on board demands meticulous testing, precise calibration, and the integration of pioneering technologies in this class,” said Milvio Ricci, Chief Commercial Officer at Sialia Yachts. “From her hull and deck to the installation of cutting-edge systems and software, including the proprietary ship management system and Ampros propulsion, every detail is crafted with uncompromising dedication.”
“Originally, we planned to launch the first yacht in summer, but decided to extend the timeline,” adds Ricci. “It is not a delay; it is a choice to ensure the Sialia 45 exceeds every expectation. When she sets sail, she will not just join the world of electric yachting, she will redefine it.”
Power and range: redefining electric yachting
The 14-metre full-specced performance electric cruiser, the Sialia 45 with her twin 300kW motors is capable of 43 knots, featuring all mod cons, exceptional interior and deck spaces, and a range that could take passengers from Monaco to St Tropez or Miami to Key Largo at 25 knots. Her range at 25 knots is 55 nautical miles with the standard 500kWh battery pack, or 77 miles with the additional 200kWh endurance battery pack.
A biodiesel-compatible 140kW or 350kW range extender can also be specced to push range out to 164 or 240 nautical miles respectively, and with fast-charging capability topping up the batteries from 10% to 90% in over 3 and a half hours even with the endurance pack added, there’s no longer any reason to have range anxiety, or to compromise the extent of your cruising grounds by wanting to cruise faster.
The yacht’s hull has been crafted using advanced carbon technology, employing three different infusion processes to achieve the lightest possible weight. This choice of material not only enhances the yacht’s performance but also ensures superior durability and strength. Additionally, the full carbon sandwich epoxy construction provides a robust structure, offering both rigidity and resilience. The sandwich core also contributes to an exceptionally quiet and comfortable ride by reducing noise and vibration.
Smart layouts
The Sialia 45 is available in three distinct versions – Runabout, Sport and Weekender, each offering a different operational profile. The Runabout version features a low-profile windscreen and an open deck layout, reminiscent of performance motorboats; the Sport is based on a centre-console design and includes a full windscreen with a Top for some elemental protection; the Weekender includes a glass deckhouse that can be closed off at the aft end to create a climate-controlled inside-outside deck saloon – ideal for hotter (and colder) climates.
The 45 series includes a practical and inviting lower deck layout plus a full-spec head with shower and a lower galley (optional) or saloon area. Different styles and levels of finish can take your Sialia from practical fun boat to full superyacht spec.
On deck, different layout options include expansive deck areas and sunpads aft and forward, with various helm seat configurations and other features that are geared toward making the most of your day or weekend afloat with family or friends.
Sustainability at the сore
It’s not just in the drivetrain that Sialia Yachts is looking to make a difference. The entire design and production methodology has been developed with lifecycle in mind, from the carbon hulls to the choice of materials used in the finish. For example, the Sialia 45 has recycled cork flooring as standard, and other recycled and recyclable materials will feature in the finish.
There’s also the reduced maintenance aspect that makes electric motors so appealing – rather than the regular servicing schedule and the various fluids that need to be changed on a combustion engine, the electric motors on Sialia’s yachts need nothing more than a change of grease at 10 years. The batteries are rated to 3,000 cycles and are guaranteed for five years along with the rest of the propulsion system, and all those aspects have been future-proofed by being upgradeable as technology advances, which in turn means less capital depreciation of your yacht over the coming years.
