The best locations to watch Bali’s sunsets are the beaches along its western shores, with views often featuring historic temples making the golden panoramas of the island’s setting sun even more memorable.

Often framed by the island’s picturesque cliff-top villages and unique lighthouses, sunsets in Greece’s island, Santorini, take second place for its Instagrammability, with over 150,000 Instagram posts celebrating that magical time of evening. The village of Oia to the north of the Island is the most popular spot, with views overlooking the town’s blue-domed churches, although there are plenty of other locations off the beaten track if you want to avoid the crowds.

Spain’s Mediterranean island, Ibiza, takes third place as the most picturesque location for sunsets, with more than 120,000 Instagram posts dedicated to the beautiful orange, pink, purple, and red hues that light up its skies each evening. Some of the best views in Ibiza can be found on the beaches of Cala Conta and the shores of San Antonio Bay.

Up next is Maui, one of the largest islands that make up the US state of Hawaii. The island has more than 120,000 dedicated to its sunsets, with some of the best beauty spots like Kapalua Bay with its white sand and rocky beaches, and the rugged landscape of Haleakala Volcano providing the perfect locations to watch the sun go down.

Home to picturesque whitewashed villages and volcanic beaches with spectacular views of the Aegean Sea, Santorini is a haven for tourists looking to experience its natural wonders.

Up next is Bali, brimming with ancient temples and natural beauty. From stunning beaches to lush greenery and scenic lakes and waterfalls, the island has plenty to offer visitors looking to find the perfect spot to watch the sun go down. The island has 19.2 million views for its sunsets, taking it to second place.

3. Paris, France
13.1 million TikTok views
Taking third place, sunsets over Paris have clocked up more than 13.1 million views on TikTok. France’s capital is perfect for golden hour as you can take in the sunset from the top of its many iconic landmarks like the Arc de Triomphe or the Eiffel Tower, which both give stunning views of the city skyline.
