A fter making its official debut at the 2025 Cannes Yachting Festival, Forte Yachts is now putting the finishing touches on its very first model — the Forte 47. This 14-metre yacht combines dynamic design with advanced engineering, and is now entering the final stage of construction, marking an important milestone for the emerging brand.

Forte Yachts, a new high-end Italian yacht brand born from the solid technical and entrepreneurial foundations of West Naval Tech – a shipyard well-known for its expertise in aluminum construction for both workboats and superyacht components.

The debut model in build represents a striking new entry into the 14-metre yacht segment – crafted entirely in aluminium and designed for weekend, high-performance cruising. Despite its relatively compact size, this yacht brings volume, innovation, and a premium feel more typically associated with far larger yachts.

Scheduled for launch in November 2025, the hull, superstructure, and deck are completed and fully faired, awaiting pre-paint treatment at the shipyard in Ameglia near La Spezia, Italy. The outboard engines are, ready for installation.

The onboard are being installed and the engine room is 80% complete. The interiors, initially developed using a mock-up, are now being assembled. The side terraces have been installed and are fully operational, awaiting final finishing.

Exclusive Design and Engineering Insights

The Forte 47 distinguishes itself with a sharp vertical bow and minimalist exterior lines, crowned by an expansive hardtop that spans over half the vessel’s length and full beam. This design balances sleek aesthetics with functional innovation, creating a yacht that stands apart in the competitive 14-metre segment.

One of the Forte 47’s most unique features are its two long fold-out terraces positioned amidships rather than the conventional stern placement. These terraces open outward from beneath the hardtop, transforming the social heart of the yacht into a very spacious, sea-level lounge that evokes the feel of a floating villa. This innovative layout offers great indoor-outdoor living on a vessel of this size.

“Opening the terraces transforms the yacht entirely,” says Technical Manager Livio Franchini. “It creates a seamless connection with the sea that feels unprecedented in a 14-metre vessel.”

Constructed entirely from lightweight yet robust aluminum, the Forte 47 benefits from exceptional structural integrity and layout flexibility. This material choice allows the shipyard to customize the yacht’s interior configuration without fixed molds, delivering a truly bespoke experience tailored to each owner’s preferences.

“Our clients are not just buying a boat; they are creating a tailored experience,” says brand co-founder Fernando Moricca. “The aluminium build allows us to adapt every element to individual tastes and requirements.”

The semi-walkaround deck design—with side decks only on the port side—frees interior volume, enabling a full-beam superstructure rarely seen in this class, maximizing comfort and liveability below deck.

The yacht is available in two primary configurations, each tailored to distinct cruising styles:

  • Gran Turismo: An open version equipped with triple Mercury V12 600hp outboards, boasting a sporty character and a top speed estimated at 45 knots, ideal for fast day boating and island hopping.
  • Lounge Deck: Featuring an enclosed saloon with full-height glazing and twin Volvo Penta IPS D8-800 inboards, this setup includes integrated air conditioning and offers refined comfort and protection for extended cruising in all conditions.

“Performance was never sacrificed for style,” adds Livio Franchini. “The Forte 47 handles like a larger yacht but with the agility of a smaller boat.”

Below deck, the Forte 47 emphasizes liveability uncommon in this size range, with two generously sized cabins and two full bathrooms featuring separate showers. Headroom exceeds two metres throughout, enhancing spaciousness and comfort.

“We wanted to ensure that the yacht feels like a true home on the water and challenge what owners expect in this size range,” says Paolo Giordano, Head of Design. “Every detail, from bathroom height to kitchen layout, has been crafted with liveability in mind.”

The hull, designed by Umberto Tagliavini of Marine Design, emphasizes stability, dryness, and efficient planing for comfort underway—whether cruising at speed or navigating coastal waters.

Following its successful brand debut at Cannes, Forte Yachts is approaching the next significant milestone: the Forte 47’s launch scheduled for November 2025.
