The World’s Tallest Sloop
Royal Huisman introduces SKY, an 81 m / 264 ft sloop crowned by the world’s tallest mast — a 93 m / 305 ft carbon rig by Rondal, equal to the height of the Statue of Liberty. Designed by Malcolm McKeon Yacht Design and styled inside by Winch Design, SKY combines pure sailing exhilaration with superyacht sophistication. With most of the design and engineering already complete, she is ready to build — a rare opportunity for an owner to fast-track the dream of a truly bespoke yacht, with delivery set for Spring 2030.
Performance and Power
Built entirely in aluminium, SKY’s naval architecture is optimised for strength, balance and speed. A long waterline, lifting keel and twin carbon composite rudders ensure agility, while the Rondal rig promises exceptional sailing power and efficiency. She’s designed for world cruising — sailing faster than the wind, faster than a similar-length motoryacht — yet easily handled through an integrated sailing system that provides the responsiveness of a yacht under 50 m.
The Sky is the Limit
SKY’s mast surpasses the current tallest sloop by around four metres. Rondal’s carbon mast, boom and fully integrated control systems allow safe and seamless sail handling, while her expansive deck spaces, flybridge and folding platforms connect guests directly with the sea. She carries a 12 m tender, a rescue tender, two jet skis and an array of toys — from SUPs and seabobs to scuba gear — eliminating the need for a support vessel.
Edge of Nature
Inspired by organic forms and textures, Winch Design’s interior for SKY evokes calm and connection. Natural light floods the full-beam owner’s suite, opening directly onto the vast aft beach deck. A midship wellness spa and watersports centre complement her tranquil aesthetic — a sanctuary at sea where sculptural lines meet quiet luxury.
Future-Proof Design
Under the surface, SKY’s hybrid propulsion system combines electric azimuthing pods, four generators and a large battery bank for silent, zero-emission cruising. The Lloyd’s-certified “Hybrid Power” system regenerates energy while sailing — aligning Royal Huisman’s reputation for innovation with a sustainable future.
