A fter revealing the project at the Cannes Yachting Festival, Greenline Yachts confirms that the new Greenline 42 will make its world debut at boot Düsseldorf in January 2026. The model is already under construction at the Slovenian shipyard and positions itself as a faster, more customisable and more energy-efficient yacht within the brand’s range.
The Greenline 42 combines a redesigned hull capable of 25-knot top speeds with Greenline’s sixth-generation H-Drive system, allowing silent electric manoeuvring and improved efficiency in hybrid operation. Ten solar panels generate up to 4.3 kW to power on-board systems and accelerate battery charging — a direct expression of Greenline’s long-standing commitment to integrating renewable technology into daily cruising.
Versatility becomes central to the new model. The aft cockpit can be arranged in two different layouts, including a drop-down transom and removable furniture, while the foredeck lounge adds a functional social area. Interior styling by Marco Casali extends to two finishes and a broader palette of materials, with owners able to personalise cabins, bathrooms, furniture and appliances to a degree not previously offered in this size category.
According to CEO Vladimir Zinchenko, the Greenline 42 reflects the brand’s intent to build yachts that deliver decades of ownership value through practical efficiency, comfort and custom specification. It also marks a new benchmark: speed, sustainability and semi-custom design integrated into a 2026 launch platform with a world premiere set for boot Düsseldorf 2026.
Beyond product features, the model sits within Greenline Yachts’ “Responsible Yachting” philosophy, which addresses propulsion, materials and manufacturing processes. The company’s super-displacement hulls have been developed to optimise hydrodynamic efficiency at a range of speeds, while structural laminates use recycled-PET foam cores and vacuum infusion to reduce resin use and improve consistency. Vinyl-ester resin is applied across the product line to secure a five-year osmosis warranty.
Sustainability extends across the yard:
– recycled foam routed to neighbouring insulation manufacturers
– wood offcuts converted into heating pellets
– significant reductions in single-use promotional materials
– biodegradable yacht wash supplied as standard
– digital owners’ manuals
Greenline is also preparing an annual award programme recognising owners who maximise solar generation or electric-engine usage — a move designed to link technology, behaviour and measurable environmental benefit.
The Greenline 42 becomes the most adaptable yacht the brand has built to date — and the launch signals a broader intent: to align performance and freedom on the water with a measurable reduction in resource use.
