T he Azimut Fly 82 has been crowned Best Motor Yacht over 80ft at the Motor Boat Awards, confirming its status as one of the standout yachts of the season and a defining presence at boot Düsseldorf 2026.
The award was presented during the ceremony held in Düsseldorf on January 20, organised by Motor Boat & Yachting. The international jury praised the Fly 82 for “its elegant styling, both inside and out, its outstanding spaces, and its impressive combination of speed and efficiency”, recognising the model as a benchmark in the segment of large flybridge yachts.
At the heart of this success lies Azimut’s design-driven approach. The exterior lines, penned by Alberto Mancini, give the yacht a dynamic, purposeful stance, conveying a sense of motion even when at anchor. A key element of the design is the Deck2Deck Terrace™, an innovative solution that extends the cockpit by lifting the teak-clad garage door to main deck level, significantly enhancing liveability and the connection between interior and exterior spaces.
The interiors, designed by Fabio Fantolino, translate the Fly 82 concept into a refined onboard environment defined by balance, warmth and material sophistication. Through a carefully curated interplay of textures, finishes and architectural elements, the interior spaces combine elegance with everyday usability, aligning with contemporary owner expectations for comfort and style.
Beyond aesthetics, the Fly 82 also sets new standards in onboard technology. It is the first Azimut model to feature WATCHIT Eye, an AI-based collision prevention system developed by marine-tech company WATCHIT in collaboration with the Azimut|Benetti Group’s R&D department. The system is designed to detect potential obstacles and hazards in real time, reinforcing Azimut’s role as a technology innovator within the recreational boating sector.
With this latest accolade, the Azimut Fly 82 reinforces its position as one of the most accomplished flybridge yachts over 80 feet, seamlessly blending design, innovation and performance, and underlining Azimut’s continued leadership on the global yachting stage.
