W ith the unveiling of the new Itama 70, Ferretti Group continues the renewal of the iconic Itama range, introducing a model that blends the brand’s unmistakable style with a new approach to onboard living. Designed for owners who value the quality of time spent at sea, the new open yacht redefines the concept of freedom on the water.
Presented this year at boot Düsseldorf, the Itama 70 is the result of the collaboration between the Ferretti Group Product Strategy Committee led by Piero Ferrari and the Group’s Engineering Department, with exterior styling by Vallicelli Design and interiors by IdeaeItalia.
The yacht’s profile stays true to Itama’s heritage while introducing a more contemporary interpretation of its signature design elements. A large foredeck sunpad seamlessly integrated into the deck and elongated hull windows give the yacht a sleek and dynamic silhouette while enhancing natural light inside.
Designed for Life on the Water
The main deck layout focuses on comfort and fluid movement across spaces. At the stern, the brand’s iconic oversized sunpad dominates the area, accompanied by a practical starboard-side boarding passage.
A spacious U-shaped dining area sits around a teak table opposite a fully equipped wet bar with sink and refrigerator. The unit can optionally be transformed into a chaise longue with an additional cushion, expanding the social space on board.
The helm station on the port side offers seating for two and excellent visibility, while access to the foredeck is positioned centrally near the windscreen. The entrance to the lower deck is located further starboard to improve circulation and onboard flow.
Three-Cabin Comfort
Below deck, the Itama 70 offers three cabins, all with en suite bathrooms, alongside a dinette and a corner galley.
The master cabin is located aft, an uncommon feature for a 70-foot open yacht and one that enhances privacy and space. The VIP cabin occupies the bow, while the third guest cabin on the port side features a queen-size bed positioned perpendicular to the keel. Its bathroom can also function as a day head.
Large hull windows bring abundant natural light into the lower deck, while the elimination of internal steps ensures smoother movement throughout the space.
An optional crew cabin with separate bathroom can also be installed, accessed from the aft sunpad.
Performance in True Itama Spirit
The Itama 70 is powered by two MAN V12 engines.
The standard configuration features 2 x 1,400 HP MAN V12 engines, delivering a top speed of 37 knots and a cruising speed of 33 knots.
For those seeking even greater performance, an optional configuration with 2 x 1,550 HP MAN V12 engines pushes the yacht to a maximum speed of 39 knots, with a cruising speed of 35 knots.
Elegant, powerful and unmistakably Italian, the new Itama 70 continues the brand’s legacy while introducing a fresh vision of what an open yacht can be.
