F our decades in yachting is not just a milestone, it’s a narrative built at sea.

Equinoxe Yachts celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2026, a journey that reflects both the evolution of the charter market and a long-standing, hands-on relationship with destinations and yachts worldwide. Founded in 1986 by Corrado Di Majo and Alessandro Ussi, the company emerged at a time when yacht charter was still taking shape, and discovering a destination often meant navigating it for the first time with charts in hand.

From early exploration to industry presence

Over the years, Equinoxe has grown alongside the industry, developing a model grounded in direct experience rather than abstraction. This approach has translated into a strong operational footprint, with more than 10,000 charter contracts managed, around 500 yacht sales completed, and over 200 participations in major international boat shows.

Rather than following trends, the company has consistently built its presence through continuity and a deep understanding of the market.

A milestone and a transition

“Forty years represent an important milestone, but also an opportunity to look ahead,” notes Alessandro Ussi, highlighting the balance between legacy and forward thinking that defines the company today.

This shift has become even more evident in recent years, following Equinoxe’s integration into the Sanlorenzo Group. The move signals a new phase of development, where experience meets a broader strategic framework.

A key example is the creation of the Sanlorenzo Charter Fleet, the world’s first monobrand charter fleet, which builds on Equinoxe’s long-standing expertise in charter operations while introducing a new level of brand cohesion.

Looking forward

Today, Equinoxe continues to operate with the same core principles that defined its early years: direct knowledge of destinations, a strong connection to the sea, and an experience-driven approach.

At 40 years, the company is not looking back. It is repositioning itself for what comes next.
