The Y8, a follow-up model to the first YYacht, was developed in collaboration with Surge Projects, led by Javier Jaudenes. The new full carbon Y8 features a wider stern and a mast set further back, enhancing its speed potential and safety. It includes innovative standard features like a transverse garage, self-tacking jib, separate crew access, and a flat deckhouse with optimally placed windows. The interior volume is 20% larger than previous models, offering various layout options and improved balance due to the engine room’s position under the saloon floor.

The Y8’s design ensures easy handling with concealed halyards and sheets, allowing operation by a small crew. Its electronics are based on the CZone system for remote troubleshooting. Built with lightweight construction and sustainable materials, the Y8 can sail in light winds with fewer emissions. The layout is flexible, with options for up to five guest cabins and customizable master suite locations.
