W ith a 20-year background at Volvo Penta and strong expertise in marine business development, Björn Säljö takes over the leadership of Humphree, signaling a new phase of innovation and strategic growth.

Swedish stabilization specialist Humphree has appointed Björn Säljö as its new Chief Executive Officer, strengthening the company’s direction in marine innovation and global market expansion. Säljö brings extensive experience from his two decades at Volvo Penta, where he has held key roles in product development, purchasing, and commercial operations within the marine sector.

Over the past four years, he served as Vice President of the industrial service market, driving growth and customer value across international operations. His transition to Humphree marks an important moment as the company continues to develop new solutions in trim and stabilization technologies for both leisure and commercial vessels.

“Humphree’s ambition to enable more days at sea through safe and innovative stabilization is well recognized by the market,” stated Ewa Gierc, Chairman of the Humphree Board of Directors. She highlighted Säljö’s proven commercial track record and strong customer-focused approach as key assets for the next stage of the company’s development.
