R iva introduces Riva Cento, a strictly limited open yacht produced in just twelve units, conceived as a contemporary tribute to the brand’s enduring legacy. Designed for collectors, the Cento revisits Riva’s timeless elegance through a modern lens, blending heritage details with advanced functionality and refined craftsmanship.

As with every Riva creation of the past three decades, the Cento is designed by Officina Italiana Design, under the direction of Mauro Micheli and Sergio Beretta, in collaboration with the Strategic Product Committee led by Piero Ferrari and the Ferretti Group Engineering Department. The result is an open yacht with fluid proportions, sporting character and unmistakable identity.

At 11.88 metres in length with a beam of 3.50 metres, Riva Cento is defined by sleek, continuous lines and carefully curated finishes. Owners can choose between fireworks black, a deep metallic tone that accentuates the hull’s profile, or light grey aluminium, both paired with ribbed leather upholstery inspired by 1950s and ’60s automotive design. Cushion options include biscuit tones or an aquamarine-and-white combination, shared with the celebrated Riva Anniversario.

The stern area becomes a signature feature. An electro-hydraulic system opens the transom to reveal mahogany steps and two chaise longues that transform into sunbeds, creating a refined beach club. Integrated storage accommodates fenders and a Seabob, while a retractable gangway built into the transom simplifies boarding. Underwater lights enhance both atmosphere and manoeuvring in low-light conditions.

The cockpit is designed for versatility and social living. A large sunpad sits midship, followed by a generous seating area arranged around a stainless-steel table with a lacquered mahogany top that can be lowered to form a second sunbed. A retractable bimini, concealed within the sofa backrest, provides shade when required. Storage is thoughtfully integrated throughout, including dedicated compartments for safety equipment and cocktail preparation, with refrigeration and work surfaces discreetly positioned around the helm area.

At the helm, twin pilot seats and a co-pilot chair face two Boening displays (15-inch and 24-inch), delivering full control over navigation, propulsion, stabilisation and onboard systems. Manoeuvrability is handled via Volvo Penta joystick steering with an electric bow thruster, while classic Riva cues remain present, including the iconic searchlight inherited from the Aquarama and Aquariva.

Below deck, Riva Cento offers a bright, open-plan space designed for comfort during cruising and overnight stays. A fully equipped galley sits opposite a bathroom with separate shower, while the forward lounge converts easily into a double berth. Enlarged skylights and side windows flood the interior with natural light, reinforcing the sense of openness that defines the yacht.

Powered by twin Volvo Penta D6 440 Aquamatic Duoprop DPI engines, the Riva Cento reaches a top speed of 40 knots and cruises comfortably at 31 knots (preliminary data). Volvo Penta’s trim optimisation software improves efficiency and acceleration, while a Seakeeper NG6 stabiliser, fitted as standard, enhances stability both underway and at anchor.

With the Cento, Riva delivers not nostalgia, but continuity: a collector’s yacht that honours the past while embracing contemporary design, technology and performance.
