T he launch of the first GS Plus 80 Long Cruise marks a defining moment for Grand Soleil, introducing a flagship that blends performance sailing with true bluewater capability.

Presented at Cantiere del Pardo’s Plus shipyard in Fano, the 26.2-metre yacht entered the water in the presence of her owner and his family, bringing the Plus line into a new scale and setting a clear direction for what comes next.
A flagship built with intent
As the largest yacht ever developed under the Grand Soleil name, the GS Plus 80 LC is designed to balance versatility and performance.
The hull, designed by Matteo Polli, reflects a careful approach to efficiency and control, while the option between a telescopic keel and a fixed keel configuration allows owners to tailor the yacht to their sailing style. The first hull features a telescopic keel that reduces draft from 4.8 metres to 2.8 metres, offering access to shallower waters without compromising offshore capability.
Performance in motion
The GS Plus 80 LC is built to move, not just to cruise.
A fine entry forward allows the yacht to cut cleanly through demanding conditions, while the beam carried aft enhances both stability and onboard volume. Twin rudders provide precision and control, particularly under load, reinforcing the yacht’s dynamic character.
The carbon rig and V-boom support a versatile sail plan, from furling gennakers and Code Zero to more demanding configurations, ensuring the yacht performs across a wide range of conditions.
Design that flows
Designed by Nauta, the GS Plus 80 LC combines a refined exterior profile with a layout that prioritises continuity between indoor and outdoor spaces.
On deck, the cockpit extends naturally from the companionway to the aft section, transitioning from dining areas to relaxed lounging spaces. The deck remains clean and uncluttered, with lines led aft to dedicated helm stations.
Inside, the central saloon is filled with natural light through wraparound windows and skylights, creating an open and inviting atmosphere. The interior palette combines warm oak finishes with soft, contemporary tones, delivering a space that feels both modern and understated.
The layout includes a forward master suite, three guest cabins and two crew cabins aft, ensuring comfort and privacy during extended stays onboard.
The next chapter
Following her launch, the GS Plus 80 Long Cruise will enter the final outfitting phase before undertaking a 1,500-mile sea trial.
She is then set to head to Porto Cervo for the Grand Soleil Cup 2026, where she will make her first official appearance.
At the same time, a second GS Plus 80 in Performance configuration is already under construction, signalling strong momentum for the model.
