The Baglietto T52 hull no.10238, a steel and aluminium displacement yacht with both exteriors and interiors designed by Francesco Paszkowski Design – the latter in cooperation with Margherita Casprini – has won the Boating Industry’s 2024 award in the category” Displacement Motor Yachts 499GT and below, 45m and above“.

The awarding ceremony took place last night against the magnificent backdrop of the Venetian Arsenal. The World Superyacht Award was bestowed by a Jury of ship owners and experts from international magazine Boat International with the following motivation: “(…)The judges noted the yacht’s expansive 135-square-metre sundeck which they called “one of the best spaces onboard”. They also appreciated the unusual aft deck design … with a beach club which spreads out over three levels and includes a large 3.7 metre-long pool with a retractable floor. They also recognized the hybrid propulsion system which allows the captain to opt for the more efficient cruising mode to curb fuel consumption and reduce environmental impact. (…) The original design of the T52 checked off many items on the owner’s wish list (…) The retractable staircase cleverly [joins the sundeck with the forward lounge area on the upper deck offering] a fresh and innovative connection to onboard outdoor living, which the judges commended”.

“This award makes us very proud and has a special meaning for us – was Baglietto CEO Diego Michele Deprati’s immediate comment – because it is an acknowledgement of a project that laid the foundations not only for Baglietto’s present, but also for its near – and long-term future. Receiving this award this year in particular, when Baglietto is celebrating its 170th anniversary, puts a seal on the long-standing tradition of a brand that, since its very foundation, has always shown the ability to innovate and have a vision for the future while also remaining faithful to its origins”.

The winner is the first hull of a very successful line, with as many as 8 vessels sold in just three years, now scheduled for delivery over the next few years. The T52 has truly unique features that perfectly meet today’s market demands. The lines penned by Francesco Paszkowski Design reinterpret the classical design elements of Baglietto’s traditional steel displacement yachts under 500 GT in a highly contemporary, distinctive style, endowing the yacht with a very strong personality. Noteworthy is also this line’s strong focus on environmental protection, with the possibility to install a hybrid propulsion system delivering higher efficiency and reducing both costs and environmental impact.

Close contact with the sea is ensured by the original open stern featuring a beach club that develops over 3 levels and has already become a hallmark of Baglietto’s new course. The large pool can easily be concealed thanks to an ingenious up-down movable floor that further extends the available deck surface when the pool is not being used. On the upper deck, the wide floor-to-ceiling windows opening on 3 sides create a pleasant “al fresco” lounge, with a conversation area and a dining area perfect to be enjoyed in all weather conditions. The approximately 24-metre-long sundeck – another distinguishing feature on Baglietto yachts – is unmatched on a vessel of this size and volume and follows in the wake of Baglietto’s traditional displacement yachts.
